About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential telehealth organization that delivers specialized clinical care to underserved populations across the United States. We are seeking an experienced Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to join their remote consulting team on a part-time basis.
This is a unique opportunity to provide expert wound care consultation to patients who have limited access to specialty services. You will work remotely within a physician-led collaborative model, reviewing complex cases and guiding treatment planning through a proprietary consultation platform. This role offers the chance to apply advanced clinical expertise where it can make a meaningful difference in patient outcomes.
The position requires 20 hours per week with potential to expand to full-time for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Review patient consultations and deliver evidence-based wound care recommendations through a telehealth platform
- Assess complex chronic wounds, identifying barriers to healing, infection risks, vascular concerns, and appropriate escalation pathways
- Develop practical treatment plans utilizing available formularies and resources, including advanced wound management techniques, infection prevention protocols, offloading strategies, and vascular evaluation guidance
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and nursing teams to optimize patient care
- Contribute to quality assurance initiatives, clinical outcome reviews, and continuous improvement programs
- Support development of clinical protocols, educational materials, and training content
- Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation
- Participate in rotating after-hours and holiday coverage schedules
- Travel occasionally for team meetings, educational events, and stakeholder engagement
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Current Nurse Practitioner certification through ANCC or AANP
- Current wound care certification from ABWM, WOCNCB, NAWCO, or equivalent approved certifying body
- Minimum 5 years of advanced wound care experience managing chronic and complex wounds
- Active, unrestricted RN and APRN licenses in Arizona (additional state APRN licenses a strong plus)
- Deep knowledge of evidence-based wound healing principles and clinical practice guidelines
- Excellent written communication and documentation skills
- High level of personal accountability, professionalism, and integrity
- Proven ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
- Reliable high-speed internet and dedicated home office space
- Willingness to participate in call coverage rotations and occasional travel
Ideal Candidate:
- Extensive experience managing high-acuity, complex wounds
- Confident making timely, evidence-based clinical decisions independently
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and responsive
- Comfortable delivering expert consultation remotely through digital platforms
- Experience with vascular disease, infectious disease, limb preservation, or complex chronic disease management strongly preferred
- Passionate about serving underserved patient populations
- Collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams
- Willing to obtain and maintain multiple state licenses as the organization expands
This is not an entry-level position. We are seeking seasoned wound care specialists with demonstrated clinical excellence.
