Senior Software Engineer – Integrations 3P – Platform

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential search platform organization seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Integrations team. In this role, you will build developer-facing tools and integrations that connect our client's technology to the broader AI and development ecosystem.

Your day-to-day work will include:

• Building and evolving MCP servers and supporting infrastructure, working primarily in Go
• Developing platform tooling for universal agent skills, including portable formats, authoring/publishing tools, and linting systems
• Establishing correctness standards by implementing evaluation frameworks for skills and tools
• Designing and delivering integrations that enable our client's platform within third-party AI ecosystems
• Collaborating with product teams and external partners to shape integration requirements
• Contributing to CLI development to enhance developer and agent efficiency
• Developing, maintaining, and supporting libraries and tools across multiple languages including Go and Rust
• Bringing product thinking to the team—forming and defending opinions on what should be built based on ecosystem needs

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with backend systems, services, or libraries
• Proficiency with AI/ML frameworks and working understanding of LLMs, agents, agent skills, and protocols such as MCP
• Interest in proving correctness through evaluation rather than assumption
• Significant recent experience with Go, ideally alongside other languages
• Strong knowledge of client-server networking, HTTP, and RESTful APIs
• Comfort reading and contributing to codebases in unfamiliar languages
• Deep understanding of software engineering best practices
• Product thinking skills with strong opinions on what's worth building
• Strong focus on usability and developer experience
• Ability to context-switch in fast-changing environments
• Genuine interest in exploring multiple programming languages
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including with customers and external partners
• Willingness to work on a remote, globally distributed team
• Self-motivated with ability to learn and work independently

Bonus qualifications:

• Experience building or operating infrastructure with interest in telemetry and observability
• Active participation in technical communities through open source, blogs, or talks
• Experience working with third-party or partner engineering teams
