About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential quality services organization supporting a major infrastructure program in the UK. Our talent team is seeking an experienced Electromechanical Quality Inspector (Level II) to perform on-site inspection activities at a supplier facility in Worcestershire.
This role focuses on inspection of HVAC systems, structural fabrication, and electromechanical assemblies in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You'll support production quality activities with a strong emphasis on welding inspection and mechanical verification.
Location: Worcestershire, UK (on-site)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 20 hours/week (flexible days)
Shift: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM (flexible)
Duration: 2-year contract with potential for extension
Responsibilities
- Perform in-process and final inspections on chillers, air handling units, and electromechanical assemblies
- Conduct visual, dimensional, and welding inspections according to drawings and specifications
- Inspect structural fabrication, rivets, and mechanical assemblies
- Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and witness inspections
- Verify supplier execution against inspection plans and quality requirements
- Review and compile inspection documentation and sign-off packages
- Identify and document nonconformances and support corrective action closure
- Provide weekly updates on production and quality performance
- Read and interpret basic wiring diagrams and engineering drawings
- Utilize Google Sheets, Gmail, and Google Drive for reporting and communication
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Experience performing electromechanical inspections in manufacturing environments
- Strong background in welding inspection and structural fabrication
- Minimum of 5+ years professional welding inspection experience, OR 3+ years with ASME or CWI certification
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and basic wiring diagrams
- Experience with visual, dimensional, and witness inspections
- Comfortable using Google Sheets, Gmail, and Google Drive
- Ability to work independently on-site in a production environment
Preferred:
- Experience with HVAC systems, chillers, or air handling units
- Experience supporting data center or industrial equipment projects
- Familiarity with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
- Experience supporting supplier quality or third-party inspections
