ASIC MODEL ENGINEER (C++, SystemC)

About the Role

As an ASIC Model Engineer, you'll be at the heart of our chip design process, developing high-fidelity simulation models and verification environments that bring our next-generation storage solutions to life. You'll work with cutting-edge design methodologies to ensure our silicon delivers on performance, reliability, and power efficiency. This is a hands-on technical role where your modelling expertise directly influences product outcomes and timelines.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop ASIC simulation models using C++ and SystemC for complex memory controllers and storage subsystems
• Create comprehensive testbenches and verification environments to validate architectural and functional requirements
• Collaborate with RTL and software teams to ensure seamless integration of models with hardware and firmware
• Optimise model performance to enable rapid simulation cycles and early design validation
• Debug and troubleshoot design issues identified through simulation and modelling activities
• Document model specifications and maintain clear version control of simulation assets

What You Bring

• 5+ years of professional experience in ASIC modelling, hardware simulation, or related design verification roles
• Expert-level proficiency in C++ with strong object-oriented design principles
• Solid working knowledge of SystemC for hardware modelling and architectural simulations
• Experience with Verilog/VHDL and understanding of RTL-to-simulation integration flows
• Familiarity with memory hierarchies, storage protocols, or similar complex digital systems
• Excellent debugging skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced engineering environment
• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience
