About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential global software organization seeking a Tax Senior Associate to work remotely in the EMEA region (UK-based candidates preferred). This is a rare opportunity to build a tax function from the ground up at a profitable, fast-growing technology company operating across 75+ countries.

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will design and own tax processes that support global expansion in a distributed work environment. Our client values strategic thinking and technical excellence, and is looking for a qualified tax professional with a keen interest in how technology is transforming the tax profession.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate preparation and review of corporate tax, VAT, and other relevant tax returns for multiple entities across several countries, ensuring timely and accurate filings
  • Work with external advisers to develop transfer pricing documentation and tax planning initiatives; lead implementation
  • Serve as key point of contact for tax authority audits and enquiries, preparing responses and supporting documentation in collaboration with external advisors
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve tax processes, controls, and data management using technology and automation
  • Manage tax provisioning and reporting under IFRS, including calculating effective tax rates and preparing tax-related disclosures for financial statements
  • Collaborate with finance, legal, and business operations teams to provide tax support and ensure cross-functional alignment
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation across multiple regions and assess their potential impact on the organization

What We're Looking For

  • Exceptional academic track record from both secondary education and university
  • Undergraduate degree in business, finance, economics, technology, or other quantitative field
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and tax advisor (CTA, ADIT, or equivalent)
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant tax experience, gained within a Big 4/Top 10 accounting firm or a multinational in-house tax team
  • Strong understanding of global tax considerations in a multinational context
  • Excellent written and spoken English with strong presentation skills
  • Ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax stakeholders
  • Track record of exceeding expectations and delivering outstanding results
  • Self-motivated, thoughtful, and result-oriented with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events (up to two weeks each)

Preferred qualifications: Leadership experience, software or tech industry experience, public company finance and reporting experience
