About the Role
As a Graduate Nurse in our Cardiology E4 position, you will provide direct bedside care to patients with acute and chronic cardiac conditions. This role places you at the center of patient recovery, working alongside experienced cardiologists and nursing teams to ensure each patient receives the highest standard of care during critical phases of treatment and healing.
What You'll Do
- Monitor cardiac patients using telemetry and other diagnostic equipment; assess vital signs and report clinical changes promptly
- Administer medications and cardiac interventions according to physician orders and established protocols
- Provide patient and family education on cardiac conditions, lifestyle modifications, and post-discharge care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans
- Document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses in electronic health records
- Support patients through pre- and post-operative care, including preparation and recovery monitoring
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized patient care environment
What We're Looking For
- Current Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) licensure or valid Graduate Nurse (GN) certification
- BSN degree from an accredited nursing program, or ADN with commitment to RN licensure
- Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize patient care needs
- Excellent communication abilities with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Commitment to evidence-based nursing practice and professional development
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
