About the Role

This position offers graduate nurses an opportunity to develop clinical expertise in oncology nursing while working alongside experienced RN mentors and interdisciplinary care teams. What You'll Do

  • Deliver direct patient care to individuals receiving cancer treatment and supportive therapy
  • Monitor vital signs, assess treatment response, and communicate significant changes to the care team
  • Administer medications, including chemotherapy agents, under appropriate supervision and per Hartford HealthCare protocols
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and electronic health records
  • Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, social workers, and other interdisciplinary team members
  • Provide emotional support, education, and advocacy for patients and families navigating cancer care
  • Maintain a safe, clean care environment and follow infection control and safety standards
  • Participate in orientation, mentorship, and ongoing professional development activities

What We're Looking For

  • Current Connecticut RN license or Graduate Nurse permit (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Recent graduate of an accredited nursing program or currently enrolled in final clinical rotations
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Genuine compassion for patients and commitment to quality, person-centered care
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced healthcare setting
  • Openness to learning and adapting in clinical environments
