About the Role
This is a hands-on respiratory care position where you'll work directly with patients requiring respiratory support and monitoring. You'll be part of a team committed to evidence-based pulmonary care and excellent patient outcomes in a busy healthcare setting.
What You'll Do
- Assess patients' respiratory status, including lung sounds, oxygen saturation, and breathing patterns
- Perform and interpret bedside pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis
- Set up, operate, and manage mechanical ventilators for patients requiring advanced respiratory support
- Administer aerosol and oxygen therapies as prescribed
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff on respiratory care plans and treatment adjustments
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Educate patients and families about respiratory conditions and care
- Follow established protocols for infection control and patient safety
What We're Looking For
- Current respiratory therapy licensure (RRT) or certification (NBRC) required
- Active state license in Colorado
- Proven experience in acute care respiratory therapy
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and patient care focus
- Reliability and commitment to patient safety
