Union Relations Lead / Directeur(rice) du Paritarisme

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential health insurance organization in Paris that is seeking a Union Relations Lead to build and maintain strategic relationships with French social partners, unions, and paritariste institutions. This is a rare opportunity to shape how a rapidly growing organization engages with the French social dialogue ecosystem at the highest levels.

Our client serves over one million members across France and is expanding its enterprise and public sector partnerships. They need someone who can credibly represent the organization to confederal leadership, sector federations, and paritariste boards while supporting commercial teams in navigating complex social partner landscapes.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with unions, federations, and confederal organizations across priority sectors
• Map the paritariste ecosystem and design engagement strategies at confederal, federal, and branch levels
• Represent the organization in federations, working groups, and paritariste institutions where social protection policy is shaped
• Partner with Enterprise and Public Sector teams to provide social partner context and strategic introductions during commercial cycles
• Monitor branch-level dialogue and paritariste developments, providing early intelligence on trends affecting strategy
• Build knowledge libraries, frameworks, and tools to improve social partner engagement across teams
• Share competitive intelligence on how social partners and market competitors position themselves
• Translate product and strategy into compelling narratives for social partner audiences

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of experience in social partner relations within a union organization, branch federation, paritariste institution, mutuelle, or insurer
• Legitimate credibility at federation level with proven ability to engage leadership as a peer
• Deep knowledge of the paritariste ecosystem including branch agreements, confederal mandates, and protection sociale reforms
• Proven track record building trust with social partners from the employer or state side
• Outstanding stakeholder management skills: calm, strategic, trustworthy, and discreet
• Demonstrated commercial or strategic impact from prior social partner work
• Self-starter comfortable building frameworks from scratch in fast-paced environments
• Based in or willing to relocate to Paris, France
• Fluent in French (essential for this role)

Preferred qualifications:

• Confederal or federal elected/permanent representative experience
• Experience inside a paritariste institution or sector federation on social dialogue
• Legal background in droit social with comfort reading accords collectifs
• International exposure to European social dialogue ecosystems
• Prior RFP or tender experience involving union-negotiated schemes
