About the Role

As a travel surgical tech with Triage Staffing LLC, you'll provide essential OR support in a fast-paced Roanoke, Roanoke County medical facility. What You'll Do

• Prepare and organize surgical instruments and equipment prior to procedures
• Establish and maintain sterile fields throughout surgical cases
• Hand instruments, supplies, and materials to surgeons and surgical nurses during operations
• Monitor surgical equipment functionality and patient safety measures
• Implement proper sterile techniques and follow established OR protocols
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and operative site preparation
• Maintain accurate instrument, needle, and sponge counts for surgical cases

What We're Looking For

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or CST-eligible status
• Valid Virginia surgical technician licensure or ability to obtain temporary credentials
• Documented surgical technography experience (minimum 1–2 years preferred)
• Demonstrated expertise with standard surgical instruments and operating room equipment
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail in high-volume environments
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities within surgical teams
• Capability to remain standing and active during extended 12-hour shifts

Shift and Schedule Details

This 13-week travel surgical tech assignment in Roanoke begins July 27, 2026. You'll work three-day schedules with 12-hour evening shifts (11:00 AM – 11:00 PM), providing 36 hours of weekly employment.
