About the Role

This is a full-time travel Surgical Tech position based in Susanville, Lassen County, with day shift hours: 5 days per week, 8 hours daily (6:45 AM–3:15 PM). You'll be part of the operating room team, delivering the surgical support that enables critical procedures and patient care. The position spans 14 weeks with consistent, stable scheduling.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and organize operating room instruments, equipment, and supplies ahead of each surgical case
• Maintain sterile technique and prevent contamination throughout procedures
• Pass instruments and materials to surgeons and surgical team members with accuracy and timing
• Monitor surgical fields and equipment function to ensure continuity of care
• Position and drape patients according to surgical protocols and safety standards
• Perform instrument counts and account for sponges, needles, and supplies per facility requirements
• Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia, and nursing staff to support optimal outcomes

What We're Looking For

• Current Surgical Technologist certification (CST) or state credential equivalent
• Active California state license or eligibility for reciprocal credentialing
• One or more years of perioperative operating room experience
• Demonstrated mastery of sterile technique and surgical protocols
• Comfort working in dynamic, high-intensity operating room environments
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative communication skills
• Commitment to fulfilling the complete 14-week assignment
