General Manager

Jersey Mike's is seeking a motivated General Manager to lead our North Bergen, Hudson County restaurant on a full‑time basis.

About the Role

As the General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of daily operations, ensuring that the team delivers high‑quality food and exceptional service while meeting company standards for cleanliness, safety, and profitability.

What You'll Do

• Directly supervise shift leaders, crew members, and hourly staff, providing coaching, performance feedback, and scheduling.
• Manage inventory, food costs, and labor expenses to achieve financial targets set by the franchise.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and food handling regulations, conducting regular audits and corrective actions.
• Drive sales growth through effective local marketing, community involvement, and consistent execution of promotional initiatives.
• Handle customer concerns promptly, fostering a welcoming environment that encourages repeat business.
• Prepare and review daily sales reports, labor metrics, and operational dashboards for continuous improvement.
• Ensure proper training programs are delivered so that all team members understand menu preparation, portion control, and service standards.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience managing a quick‑service or casual dining restaurant, preferably in a multi‑unit setting.
• Strong leadership abilities with a track record of building high‑performing teams and reducing turnover.
• Excellent organizational skills, including proficiency with scheduling, inventory management, and basic financial reporting.
• Commitment to food safety and sanitation practices, with familiarity of local health department requirements.
• Ability to adapt to a fast‑paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in business or hospitality is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for occasional travel to other locations or supplier visits.
