Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential data engineering consultancy seeking a Tech Lead to design modern data platform solutions, take technical ownership, and provide guidance to data platform engineers.
- Design and implement data platform solutions using Databricks and Azure
- Develop standards and best practices for scalable, secure, and automated data platforms
- Lead a team of data platform engineers, providing technical direction and supporting professional development
- Collaborate with leadership to develop team members, expand service offerings, and build client relationships
- Create reusable solution approaches and integrate them strategically into client projects
What We're Looking For
- Degree in STEM, business informatics, or comparable qualification
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in data platform engineering, data engineering, or cloud platform engineering
- Proven track record designing and implementing modern data platforms, ideally with Databricks and Azure
- Strong knowledge of lakehouse, cloud, and platform architectures
- Experience taking technical responsibility in projects or teams
- Hands-on experience with governance, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD (e.g., Terraform)
- Confident communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Team-oriented mindset with commitment to continuous learning
