We are representing a dynamic creative agency based in Heidelberg that specializes in brand storytelling and digital content production. They work with established brands on authentic social media strategies that drive real performance, not vanity metrics. Our talent team is searching for a Social Media Manager who treats platforms as strategic tools, not just posting channels.

This is a full-time role based in Heidelberg with flexible working arrangements. You'll manage multiple client accounts independently, developing content strategies that balance creativity with data-driven optimization. If you open Instagram in the morning and immediately see what could be improved, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

• Manage social media channels for multiple clients end-to-end: strategy development, content planning, execution, and continuous optimization
• Create content strategies and editorial calendars that deliver measurable results, not just aesthetic appeal
• Develop social content concepts including scripts for Reels/short-form video, hooks, captions, and content day planning
• Analyze KPIs, prepare performance reports, and translate insights into actionable improvements
• Plan and coordinate content production days with the creative team
• Execute community management and social listening with strategic judgment about when and how to engage
• Leverage AI tools for content creation, trend analysis, copywriting, and ideation to optimize workflows
• Advise clients on platform trends, content formats, and algorithm updates
• Work with performance data and ideally have experience with paid social advertising

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of social media management experience (agency, in-house, or freelance)
• Strategic understanding of Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Facebook beyond casual usage
• Proven ability to create social concepts, scripts, and editorial plans that perform
• Practical, curious approach to using AI tools for captions, ideas, analysis, and automation
• Both creative and analytical mindset: you can pitch a concept and explain CTR/retention in the same conversation
• Experience with tools such as Meta Business Suite, analytics platforms, Canva, or similar
• Self-directed work style with enthusiasm for taking ownership
• Excellent German and strong English skills required
• Understanding that a strong hook must land within the first 1.5 seconds and why algorithms behave the way they do
