About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential supply chain technology organization that is experiencing rapid growth across the UK and global markets. Our client is seeking an experienced Product Engineer to join their product teams in London or Stoke-on-Trent. This role sits at the intersection of customer problems, technical solutions, and business strategy, with full ownership from discovery through production.
Responsibilities
- Own requirements end-to-end for your product area, from discovery through user acceptance testing and quality assurance, ensuring deployed solutions address the underlying business problem rather than just stated requests
- Manage your deployed product through its full lifecycle: coordinate releases, systematically gather customer feedback, and incorporate learnings into subsequent iterations
- Partner closely with your Engineering Manager to translate customer needs and usage analytics into prioritized team objectives, maintaining a roadmap grounded in measurable outcomes
- Serve as a product and domain expert in customer-facing contexts, offering evidence-based pushback on requirements when appropriate, and supporting sales activities including scoping and feasibility assessments
- Validate that delivered solutions genuinely meet customer expectations through ongoing quality checkpoints and proactive expectation management
- Build and deploy solutions using existing technical frameworks, applying solid software engineering and DevOps practices
What We're Looking For
- Deep understanding of customer workflows, objectives, and pain points across a complete product domain
- Confidence and experience to challenge stated customer requirements when evidence suggests alternative solutions, with a track record of mentoring other Product Engineers
- Proven experience designing solutions to complex problems that span data architecture, AI/ML capabilities, user experience, and system integration
- Solid software engineering and DevOps skills with hands-on experience building and deploying production systems
- Comfort with leveraging AI tools in daily work and contributing to organizational AI strategy development
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Experience working with international, distributed teams is a strong plus
- Excellent communication and organizational capabilities
