System Engineer Cloud & Datacenter Services (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential automotive supplier organization seeking a System Engineer for Cloud & Datacenter Services in Mönchengladbach. This role actively shapes business process automation and supports the global consolidation and harmonization of IT infrastructure.

Your responsibilities include:

• Consulting and supporting business units during migration of services to cloud environments
• Taking ownership of architecture, design, preparation, and implementation of IT solutions in both cloud and on-premises environments
• Potentially assuming a Service Owner role for critical systems
• Coordinating releases in conjunction with Change and Configuration Management
• Supporting international projects from initial concept through implementation to testing and operational phases (Proof of Concepts)
• Providing 2nd and 3rd level support for assigned products and managing necessary communication with vendors
• Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting international cloud and on-premises datacenter services (VMware, Microsoft, HCI)
• Reviewing and advancing security requirements in Windows Server infrastructures
• Managing monitoring and complete datacenter services
• Actively contributing to cloud migration initiatives and taking co-responsibility for cloud technologies and solutions (M365, Azure, IaaS solutions)

What We're Looking For

• Successfully completed degree in Computer Science or comparable vocational training in IT
• 5 years of professional experience in multi-site IT operations
• Service orientation and solid expertise in cloud automation
• Strong analytical and conceptual abilities combined with organizational and presentation skills
• Fluent German and English language skills
• High results and customer orientation
• Initiative, resilience, flexibility, determination, and reliability
• Willingness to travel occasionally for business
