AI Engineer Intern

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential PropTech client in Heidelberg seeking an AI Engineer Intern. Our client develops IoT solutions for the real estate sector, and their AI team is building intelligent systems that power real-time monitoring and predictive capabilities. This is a hands-on internship where you'll work directly on production AI features with meaningful ownership and impact.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to build, test, and refine AI-powered features
• Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions to enhance agent performance and accuracy
• Automate data collection, labeling processes, and data pipeline engineering
• Contribute to the development of agentic AI systems that support real-world applications

What We're Looking For

• Currently pursuing a Master's or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Mathematics, or a related engineering discipline
• Strong interest in agentic AI systems and workflows, ideally with hands-on project experience
• Familiarity with agentic build platforms such as RAGFlow (through coursework, personal projects, or self-study)
• Good judgment in model selection—understanding when to use frontier models versus smaller, faster, or more cost-effective alternatives
• Some exposure to vector databases and retrieval systems
• Excellent written and spoken English
