Dellivery Director Germany & Switzerland

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential consulting firm operating across Switzerland and Germany. Our talent team is seeking an experienced Delivery Director to lead service delivery operations and drive client success across these markets. This is a strategic leadership role combining operational excellence, team management, and stakeholder collaboration. The position can be based in either Switzerland or Germany and follows a flexible hybrid model with regular travel to office locations in Berlin, Vevey, and Berne.

Responsibilities

As Delivery Director, you will:

• Lead delivery strategy and operational performance across Switzerland and Germany, ensuring engagements meet business, quality, and financial objectives
• Oversee and support Delivery Managers, enforce delivery standards, and align staffing and capacity planning with business needs
• Collaborate with practice and consulting leadership to define staffing budgets, rolling forecasts, and pay planning aligned with business goals
• Monitor project performance to meet margin and client satisfaction targets while ensuring compliance with internal governance and delivery frameworks
• Own staffing and resource allocation, securing effective handovers and enforcing consistent delivery practices across teams
• Forecast and manage skill demand across consulting teams, allocate resources, and develop contingency plans to maintain high utilization
• Define and manage staffing budgets for your business units, track financial performance, and adjust strategies to meet targets
• Act as escalation point for client delivery issues in your region and collaborate with Sales to secure deals and ensure delivery alignment
• Foster a high-performance culture through clear communication, feedback, goal-setting, and team development
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying enhancements in delivery practices and contributing to new service offerings

What We're Looking For

• Proven leadership experience managing complex delivery teams and functions
• Strong communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders effectively and make sound decisions under pressure
• Analytical and structured approach, driven by performance, quality, and client success
• Awareness of AI in the enterprise and how it can drive value for clients
• Exposure to business development activities with a solid delivery mindset combined with a business-oriented approach
• Confidence engaging with clients to shape solutions and drive impact
• Fluency in German and English (additional languages are a plus)
• Willingness to travel regularly between Berlin, Vevey, and Berne offices
