Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential energy infrastructure organization seeking a Technical Building Systems Engineer to support the construction of a substation facility serving a data center in the Frankfurt am Main area. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and providing technical oversight of all building systems while ensuring seamless collaboration across all engineering disciplines.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Planning, reviewing, and coordinating technical building systems (HVAC, heating, ventilation, cooling/refrigeration) for substation operational and technical buildings
• Managing technical interfaces and specifications for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Reviewing and evaluating planning documentation, specifications, technical concepts, and supporting design modifications and execution planning
• Coordinating design consultants, suppliers, technical experts, and contractors while supporting construction management in quality, scheduling, cost control, and safety
• Overseeing commissioning, acceptance testing, defect tracking, and ensuring complete project and revision documentation

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree in building services engineering, energy systems, mechanical engineering, or comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in planning or implementing technical building systems, ideally within energy infrastructure, industrial, or substation projects
• Strong knowledge of building systems disciplines and relevant technical standards and regulations
• Structured, independent working style with excellent communication skills
• Very good German language proficiency in both written and spoken communication (required for this role)
