About This Opportunity

We are representing a boutique tax advisory firm in Koblenz that specializes in corporate clients within the real estate sector. Our client is seeking a qualified Steuerberater (German Tax Advisor) to lead their operational tax compliance team. This is a leadership role combining hands-on technical work with team development responsibilities.

The firm operates with fully digitized processes, documented workflows, and integrated AI tools for efficiency. You'll work with established corporate structures including holding companies, conversions, and family foundations that the firm has designed and continues to support.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational tax compliance function, including review and approval of financial accounting, annual financial statements, and tax returns
• Manage and develop a team of five professionals handling accounting, payroll, and year-end reporting
• Ensure quality standards, deadline compliance, and timely delivery across all declaration work
• Handle correspondence with tax authorities, support tax audits, objections, and applications
• Maintain your own portfolio of corporate clients, primarily from the real estate industry
• Continuously improve internal standards and workflows

What We're Looking For

• Required: Active certification as Steuerberater (German Tax Advisor)
• Proven experience preparing and reviewing annual financial statements and tax returns
• Strong proficiency with DATEV software
• Interest in corporate clients within the real estate sector
• Clear, reliable communication skills with both team members and clients
• Leadership experience is welcome but not mandatory—what matters most is your enthusiasm for developing colleagues technically
• Full-time or part-time (minimum 30 hours per week) availability
• German language fluency required for this role
