Senior Specialist, Market Planning

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential logistics technology client in their search for a Senior Specialist, Market Planning based in Berlin, Germany. This is a hybrid role requiring regular presence in the Berlin office.

Our client operates across hundreds of cities globally, and maintaining optimal service provider supply across every market is fundamental to their operations. As they've scaled internationally, planning has evolved from individual market exercises into a sophisticated global challenge requiring systematic approaches that work everywhere simultaneously—from major metropolitan areas to smaller cities.

In this role, you'll refine the models and tools that drive how service provider supply is planned globally. You'll ensure the right operational levers are activated in the right markets to achieve targets, allocate these levers across markets, and investigate problem areas to identify and resolve root causes. This position sits at the intersection of data, tooling, and operations—ideal for someone equally comfortable building analytical models and investigating why specific markets are underperforming.

You'll join the Global Market Planning team and collaborate closely with local operations and marketing teams to ensure planning reflects on-the-ground realities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine the global supply planning model to deliver robust coverage across cities of all sizes, accounting for local context including holidays and special events
• Build tools that ensure correct supply levers are used effectively across markets to hit targets
• Own within-market supply lever allocation, translating high-level market planning into concrete, market-specific plans
• Investigate problem areas, identify root causes, and convert findings into corrective actions and improved planning approaches
• Partner with regional supply leads, local operations teams, and central teams (finance, procurement, product, analytics) on plans, performance, and improvements
• Test and validate new concepts in planning, acquisition, onboarding, and activation, supporting roll-out of global improvements across regions

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in operations, analytics, or strategic business development in fast-paced environments
• Strong analytical and modeling skills with a structured, pragmatic approach to solving complex problems
• Proficiency in Looker, SQL, and Excel/Google Sheets modeling (required); Python, Cursor, and Claude Code are valuable additions
• Action-oriented ownership mentality, consistently seeking improvement opportunities with determination to drive change
• Ability to work across cross-functional teams and manage relationships with stakeholders at local and global levels
• Excellent collaboration skills with a data-driven approach, bringing humility and respect to every interaction
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
• Based in Berlin with ability to work in a hybrid model
