QA Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI safety organization backed by senior leaders from top AI research labs. Our client processes over 100 million API calls monthly and operates production LLM infrastructure. They need a QA Engineer who can balance hands-on manual testing with strategic test automation in a fast-paced environment.

This is a manual-first product QA role where you'll test features that ship as quickly as one working day, identify high-risk areas, and build automation for the flows that matter most.

Responsibilities

• Manually test new features and fixes across web platforms and APIs in rapid release cycles
• Execute exploratory, smoke, regression, and integration testing to identify the highest-risk areas
• Write clear test plans and checklists, investigate unexpected behavior, and file reproducible bug reports
• Collaborate with engineers and product owners to clarify requirements and improve testability before development concludes
• Automate stable, business-critical flows using Playwright and Python, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines
• Provide clear, actionable release feedback to support fast shipping without sacrificing quality

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of experience in QA automation, including building test frameworks from scratch
• Strong Playwright experience for end-to-end UI testing and scalable test suite design
• Clean Python automation code using pytest, fixtures, and parametrize
• Hands-on experience integrating test automation into CI/CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar)
• Practical use of AI coding agents and LLM-powered developer tools in testing workflows
• Fluent English with clear communication skills
• Based in or willing to relocate to Paris (hybrid work model)

Bonus qualifications:

• Experience testing AI or LLM products, including non-deterministic outputs, confidence scoring, and edge-case prompts
• Performance or load testing experience with tools like k6 or Locust
• API testing tools experience (Postman, Insomnia, or similar) or contract testing
• Security-aware QA or experience in SOC 2 environments
