Senior Software & Data Engineering (H/F)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential AI technology organization seeking a Senior Software & Data Engineer to join their team in Paris La Défense. In this role, you will design, develop, and industrialize cutting-edge software and data solutions that power high-impact AI products.

Your core responsibilities will include:

• Designing and developing robust, scalable applications, APIs, and data architectures
• Industrializing data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, streaming, and batch processing at scale
• Participating in the design of AI and GenAI solutions integrated into products
• Contributing to the implementation and evolution of MLOps and data engineering infrastructure
• Conducting code reviews, challenging implementations, and sharing best practices across the team
• Taking part in agile ceremonies and sprint reviews with direct interaction with stakeholders
• Mentoring and developing junior team members
• Contributing to R&D and internal cross-functional projects (operations, security, tooling, training, innovation)
• Participating in technical discussions during pre-sales and scoping phases

What We're Looking For

Must-have skills:

• Professional experience with at least one programming language (Python, Java, Kotlin, Scala, TypeScript)
• Strong understanding of software development principles and web architecture
• Proficiency in SQL and database technologies (both SQL and NoSQL)
• Experience with backend and/or frontend frameworks (Spring, NestJS, React, Angular, or similar)
• Proven experience designing and industrializing data pipelines
• Knowledge of data architectures (data warehouses, data lakes, lakehouse patterns)
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools
• Hands-on experience with Docker

Nice-to-have skills:

• Knowledge of cloud architectures (AWS, GCP, Azure, OpenStack)
• MLOps experience (MLflow, DVC, Kubeflow, BentoML)
• Experience with orchestration and streaming technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Airflow)
• Operations experience (Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible)
• Testing expertise including unit, integration, and load testing (TDD appreciated)
• Knowledge of AI, ML, deep learning, and NLP
• UNIX and Bash proficiency
• Product mindset and client relationship experience
• UX/UI tooling or product design background
