Senior Python Developer (w/m/d) – Remote

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential renewable energy software organization in their search for a Senior Python Developer to join their in-house development team on a remote basis from Frankfurt am Main.

In this role, you will:

• Shape the entire software development process from requirements analysis through implementation, testing, and deployment
• Plan and design the technical implementation of new features for production applications
• Ensure high quality through your implementations, code reviews, and creative problem-solving approaches
• Serve as a technical point of contact for the development team and Product Owner on technical questions
• Mentor colleagues and enable them to tackle new challenges through knowledge sharing
• Take ownership of tickets and provide architectural guidance to team members

What We're Looking For

Our client requires candidates with:

• Minimum 8 years of software development experience, including at least 5 years specifically with web applications
• Excellent programming skills and strong technical understanding
• Experience with their technology stack is highly desirable: Django, Litestar, Redis, PostgreSQL
• Very good understanding of software architectures
• Ideally, knowledge of DevOps practices (Docker, Kubernetes) and managed cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
• Interest in staying current with trends and state-of-the-art technologies
• Fluent German language skills (company language) and ability to write technical documentation in English
• Genuine interest in contributing to sustainable energy solutions

This position is available as full-time or part-time, with a remote-first culture. The organization maintains offices in Frankfurt am Main and Freiburg, but you decide where you work from.
