Staff Product Manager: Agentic Discovery

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential client in the eCommerce technology sector who is building the next generation of AI-powered product discovery experiences. This is a rare opportunity to join as a Staff Product Manager leading their Agentic Discovery initiative—defining how AI agents transform how shoppers find products and how businesses manage discovery at scale.

This role combines strategic vision with hands-on execution. You'll own the evolution of AI-powered discovery surfaces from experimental capabilities into production-grade, business-critical systems. Your initial focus will be building the business tooling and dashboards that give merchandising and category teams transparency and control over agentic experiences, then expanding to set direction for the entire agentic discovery portfolio.

This is a remote role open to candidates based in EMEA time zones.

Responsibilities

• Drive measurable business impact across AI-powered discovery experiences, focusing on conversion, revenue, and engagement metrics rather than feature counts
• Own the strategy and roadmap for business tooling that gives merchandising teams visibility into what AI agents are doing, why they're making those decisions, and how to steer them effectively
• Transform one-off agentic experiments into a repeatable, scalable process for launching and measuring new AI interfaces, measurably reducing time-to-launch
• Define multi-quarter vision and strategy for the Agentic Discovery product area, tying it directly to customer business outcomes and rallying cross-functional teams behind it
• Partner with machine learning, engineering, and design teams to take LLM-powered experiences from concept to production, balancing quality, latency, cost, and reliability
• Establish and instrument core metrics for agentic discovery success, including go-live velocity, usage patterns, engagement, and business outcomes
• Ensure explainability, control, and guardrails are treated as first-class requirements so customers trust and adopt AI experiences
• Unite on-site experiences, off-site surfaces, and integrations behind one coherent definition of success
• Grow scope from business tooling ownership into chapter-wide leadership across the full agentic portfolio

What We're Looking For

Required Experience and Skills:

• Typically 8+ years of product management experience in AI/ML, agentic systems, search, or discovery products, with demonstrated senior or staff-level impact
• Proven track record of moving business metrics at scale—usage, conversion, revenue, engagement—not just shipping features
• Experience setting product strategy across multiple teams and creating alignment around shared goals
• Background building products for business users such as merchandisers, category managers, or similar operator roles, particularly dashboards, tooling, and control surfaces
• Deep AI/ML/LLM product knowledge—you understand how agentic and language model-powered experiences work and can reason about tradeoffs in quality, latency, cost, and reliability
• Comfort operating in high ambiguity, zero-to-one environments while also building repeatable processes that scale
• Rigorous, measurement-first mindset that ties every product decision back to usage and business outcomes
• Excellent cross-functional leadership skills with ability to align teams with different objectives behind a shared vision
• Strong instinct for building trustworthy AI—treating transparency, control, and safety as core product requirements
• Ability to set direction where none exists and lead through clarity and credibility rather than formal authority

• Ship dashboard and tooling experiences adopted by internal teams and customers that provide real transparency and control over agentic experiences
• Drive measurable lift in usage and business impact of AI-powered discovery across multiple customers
• Establish repeatable processes for launching new agentic interfaces with measurably shorter time-to-launch
• Define and make visible the core metrics for agentic discovery success
• Begin uniting cross-functional teams behind one coherent chapter direction
