Project Manager (Software Development) – Latin America, Remote

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential software consultancy seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex development initiatives. This is a remote role based in Argentina, requiring overlap with US business hours. We're looking for someone with 5+ years of experience managing software projects who thrives when coordinating multiple workstreams against firm deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage software development projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring milestone achievement against fixed external deadlines
• Maintain critical-path schedules and buffer management for product launches and time-sensitive deliverables
• Own and update client dependency registers with required-by dates, owners, and escalation protocols
• Implement formal risk registers and change-control processes to protect scope, budget, and timeline
• Coordinate third-party vendor dependencies including contracts, credentials, and integration schedules
• Run Agile/Scrum or Kanban ceremonies and ensure team adherence to sprint commitments
• Produce client-facing status reports and manage milestone-based acceptance criteria
• Translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and executives
• Identify, track, and mitigate project risks across distributed engineering teams

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years professional experience managing software development projects
• Proven track record delivering against immovable deadlines with critical-path management
• Experience managing project scope, budget, resourcing, and timelines across concurrent workstreams
• Hands-on experience with dependency registers, risk registers, and change-control procedures
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Asana, or similar platforms
• Strong stakeholder management skills with both technical teams and business leadership
• Experience working with large, complex systems and distributed teams
• Ability to overlap US business hours from Argentina
• Bachelor's degree required
• Extreme ownership mentality and meticulous attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution capabilities
• PMP, CSM, or PSM certification preferred
• Experience with nearshore US-LATAM delivery models a plus
