Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential blockchain infrastructure organization in their search for an SRE Manager to lead a distributed team. This remote role offers the opportunity to shape reliability engineering practices for production-grade distributed systems that serve a global developer and operator community.

The SRE function supports multiple environment tiers—from rapidly iterating test networks with daily deployments to production systems requiring 24/7 coverage. You'll be leading a small, technically capable team responsible for deployment pipelines, observability platforms, and the infrastructure that enables both internal developers and external ecosystem participants to build and operate reliably.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of experienced SRE engineers working across distributed infrastructure
• Establish engineering standards and operational discipline around reliability: SLOs, error budgets, and blameless incident reviews
• Set technical direction for infrastructure automation, deployment tooling, and observability systems
• Balance operational stability across environments with different risk profiles and release cadences
• Build team processes that eliminate toil and prioritize automation over manual intervention
• Collaborate with platform engineering and product teams to define reliability requirements
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response as needed
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement through postmortem analysis and iterative refinement

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience managing or leading SRE or infrastructure engineering teams
• Strong systems thinking and credible understanding of distributed systems and large-scale infrastructure
• Hands-on background with reliability engineering practices: SLOs, error budgets, incident management
• Track record of building automation-first cultures and reducing operational toil
• Demonstrated success developing engineers and helping them grow into larger roles
• Comfort operating in novel or unconventional infrastructure domains
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively across remote teams
• No prior blockchain or Web3 experience required, but openness to the domain is essential
