Senior Post-Market Surveillance Manager (m/f/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential medical device organization in their search for a Senior Post-Market Surveillance Manager. Our client is a venture-backed scale-up developing breakthrough cardiovascular monitoring technology that is transforming patient care across multiple international markets. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll build and run a global post-market surveillance system that directly impacts product quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage the global post-market surveillance system including complaint handling, adverse-event reporting, vigilance processes, escalation protocols, and governance frameworks
• Own the complete complaint-to-report pipeline, conducting reportability assessments and ensuring timely, accurate adverse-event and vigilance submissions across US, EU, and other markets
• Develop KPIs, dashboards, and trending methodologies that identify safety, quality, and customer-experience signals, translating findings into corrective actions, risk management updates, product improvements, and labeling changes
• Lead cross-functional implementation across Customer Support, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Engineering, Clinical, and Product teams to build sustainable post-market processes
• Present post-market performance metrics and strategic recommendations to leadership, and support preparation of PMS reports, PSURs, and management reviews
• Serve as subject matter expert during audits and inspections, providing guidance to internal teams and external partners on post-market requirements
• Remain hands-on with complex or high-risk cases while building scalable processes for the organization's growth

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of experience in medical device post-market surveillance, complaint handling, quality assurance, or regulatory affairs, with demonstrated leadership in process implementations
• Bachelor's degree minimum required
• Hands-on expertise with complaint investigations, reportability assessments, and regulatory submissions including FDA MDR, EU MDR vigilance/PMS requirements, ISO 13485, and ISO 14971
• Proven program management capabilities managing workstreams, stakeholders, and dependencies across complex organizations
• Analytical mindset with ability to transform complaint data into risk-based recommendations and actionable insights
• Strong communication and influencing skills with ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams, leadership, and regulatory bodies
• Independent, hands-on leadership style with ability to build scalable processes in a growing organization
• Experience with international markets beyond US and EU is a plus
• Familiarity with digital complaint-management systems is beneficial
