Solutions Architect – Lakebase

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential data platform company seeking a Solutions Architect to drive adoption of their transactional database product line across the London region. Working closely with account executives, you will develop and execute engagement strategies that help clients understand how modern OLTP capabilities integrate with their broader data and AI ecosystems.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with go-to-market leadership and account teams to design high-impact technical engagement strategies across your assigned territory
• Serving as a trusted technical advisor and champion, building credibility with stakeholders to drive product adoption and strategic vision
• Delivering workshops and developing customer-facing collateral that increases technical knowledge and establishes thought leadership at scale
• Translating field insights into strategic recommendations that influence product roadmap priorities in partnership with Product and Engineering teams
• Acting as the tier-3 escalation point for complex technical challenges, ensuring customer success in mission-critical environments
• Partnering with Global System Integrators and consulting organizations to drive successful customer outcomes

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate brings deep transactional database expertise combined with modern data platform experience:

• 10+ years of OLTP expertise spanning engineering, product development, administration, and pre-sales with a proven track record designing client-facing solutions
• 6+ years in customer-facing pre-sales or consulting roles, influencing technical executives and driving data strategy adoption
• Demonstrated credibility influencing OLTP product roadmaps with market-driven insights
• Experience architecting solutions that integrate transactional systems within Big Data, Lakehouse, and AI ecosystems
• Deep infrastructure and platform expertise including disaster recovery, high availability, backup and recovery, scale-out architectures, identity and security management, and cloud migrations
• Proven ability to co-plan large territories with Account Executives in highly coordinated, cross-functional environments
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for programming, debugging, and problem-solving
• Hands-on experience building solutions within major public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Broad understanding across two or more of: data engineering, data warehousing, AI/ML, governance, transactional systems, application development, and streaming
• Undergraduate degree or higher in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or similar technical field
• Track record of driving complex projects to completion in fast-paced, customer-facing environments
