Product Designer, Risk

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential fintech client seeking a Product Designer to join their Risk team. In this role, you will design experiences that help businesses navigate onboarding, compliance, and growth with confidence.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Translating complex systems, policies, and operational constraints into clear, thoughtful product experiences
• Identifying high-leverage opportunities that improve coherence across user journeys, touchpoints, and surfaces
• Partnering closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, operations, and strategists to shape product direction and drive meaningful outcomes
• Developing both long-term design strategy and pragmatic short-term solutions
• Designing, prototyping, and communicating ideas through creative storytelling and interactive demos
• Using qualitative and quantitative signals to inform design decisions and evaluate impact
• Working closely with engineering to maintain a high bar for craft and implementation quality
• Contributing to shared design patterns and systems that help the broader organization build with coherence

What we're looking for

Our client needs a designer who thrives in complexity and can transform difficult systems into simple, intuitive experiences. The ideal candidate will bring:

• 8+ years of relevant product design experience at a product-driven technology company
• A portfolio demonstrating strong visual craft, interaction design, and systems thinking
• Experience working on complex product areas with multiple stakeholders, constraints, and interconnected workflows
• Strong product thinking and the ability to shape direction, not just execute against requirements
• Demonstrated ability to prototype and design across multiple touchpoints and surfaces
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence through clear design rationale and artifacts

Preferred qualifications include:

• Systems-level thinking with solutions that scale across users, workflows, and surfaces
• Strong product judgment and influence beyond the UI
• Deep commitment to quality from concept through implementation
• Comfort operating in fast-moving environments where priorities may shift in response to policy, operational, or regulatory needs
