Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential B2B SaaS organization seeking a Staff Product Designer to lead the evolution of canvas-based content experiences. In this role, you will:

  • Define and drive the design vision for canvas formats, ensuring the product stays ahead of market trends and user expectations
  • Pioneer AI-native design approaches, exploring how generative AI can transform rough concepts into rich, interactive content
  • Take entrepreneurial ownership of the format experience, navigating ambiguity and building lean experiments to validate ideas
  • Analyze the competitive landscape to create best-in-class experiences while maintaining ease of use and consistency across the product suite
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to solve complex technical and design challenges around AI quality, discoverability, and seamless user transitions
  • Set design excellence standards, mentor other designers, and contribute to the evolution of design systems and internal tooling

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of product design experience, ideally in B2B SaaS or AI-focused roles
  • At least 2-3 years operating at a Staff or Principal level, with proven ownership of complex initiatives
  • A strong portfolio showcasing clear, user-focused products and strategies, demonstrating impact on both user experience and business goals
  • Deep understanding of AI and AI design tooling, with evidence of thought leadership in this space
  • Proven experience working closely with cross-functional teams including product management, UX design, and engineering to deliver seamless solutions
  • Strong knowledge of UX practices, information architecture, and user-centered design methodologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate design value and collaborate effectively across diverse teams
  • Proactive and flexible approach, comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment while managing multiple priorities
  • Experience working on design tools, editors, or creative software is a significant advantage
