Software Test Engineering Manager

Role Overview

As a Software Test Engineering Manager at Agilent, you'll oversee test engineering operations spanning our facilities across three locations. You'll be responsible for developing comprehensive testing strategies, managing test infrastructure, and ensuring software products meet our stringent quality standards before market release. This leadership position combines technical expertise with team management, requiring someone who can bridge the gap between engineering excellence and business objectives.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of test engineers, fostering technical growth and maintaining high performance standards
• Design and implement test strategies, frameworks, and automation approaches to improve software quality and reduce time-to-market
• Collaborate with software development teams to define acceptance criteria and establish quality gates throughout the development lifecycle
• Manage test infrastructure, tools, and resources across multiple sites to support effective testing operations
• Monitor key quality metrics, analyze test results, and present findings to stakeholders and leadership
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes, efficiency, and team capability

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of software testing experience, with at least 2 years in a test engineering leadership or management role
• Strong background in test automation, quality assurance methodologies, and software development lifecycle practices
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop technical teams in a multi-site environment
• Proficiency with test management tools, automation frameworks, and quality metrics analysis
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to translate business requirements into effective testing strategies
