Site Reliability Engineer, Mistral Cloud

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential AI infrastructure organization seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join their Cloud Platform team in Paris. This is a critical role maintaining the stability and performance of large-scale cloud infrastructure serving both internal teams and external customers. You'll be instrumental in ensuring platform reliability, implementing best practices for observability, and driving automation across distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant cloud infrastructure
• Operate production systems, troubleshoot incidents, and participate in on-call rotations
• Implement and improve monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems to minimize downtime
• Develop and maintain CI/CD workflows, containerization, orchestration, and logging tools
• Perform root cause analysis following incidents and implement preventative measures
• Drive continuous improvement in infrastructure automation, deployment processes, and orchestration
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enable safe, reproducible workflows
• Build cloud platform capabilities that abstract infrastructure complexity for technical teams
• Ensure infrastructure adheres to security best practices and compliance requirements
• Document processes and procedures for consistency and knowledge sharing

What We're Looking For

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or SRE roles with expertise in bare metal infrastructure and distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with site reliability issues, including root cause analysis and production troubleshooting
• Proficiency working with reliability KPIs such as observability, alerting, and SLAs
• Experience with CI/CD, containerization, and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Go, Bash) with strong software development practices
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and system administration concepts
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with collaborative mindset
• Experience in AI/ML environments, high-performance computing systems, or modern cloud solutions is a plus
