We are representing a confidential client in the life sciences sector seeking a Medical/Clinical Scientist - Immunology/Dermatology for a remote, sponsor-dedicated role based in the United States. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge immunology and dermatology clinical trials, partnering directly with our client's pharmaceutical sponsor teams to advance drug development programs.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Medical Directors to develop comprehensive medical plans including Medical Management Plans, Medical Data Review Plans, and Eligibility Review Plans
  • Coordinate with external experts, consultants, and advisors to gather medical and scientific input for plan development
  • Conduct regular and ad-hoc medical reviews of data listings and visualizations, analyzing trends, identifying risks, and documenting findings
  • Author medical data queries, review query responses, and approve query closures in partnership with Medical Directors
  • Support patient profile reviews, protocol deviation assessments, and creation of Medical Review Summary reports
  • Partner with Medical Directors on medical data review meetings and safety review meetings, including preparation of presentation materials
  • Manage project scope, objectives, quality deliverables, and ensure adherence to study milestones and timelines
  • Serve as primary liaison between internal teams, clients, and vendors for medical data review and eligibility review activities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Clinical Operations, Data Management, Drug Safety/Pharmacovigilance, and Project Management teams to identify data integrity and subject safety risks
  • Escalate project concerns and out-of-scope tasks to leadership in a timely manner
  • Participate in internal and external audits as required
  • Maintain adherence to ICH-GCP guidelines, data privacy regulations, and all applicable SOPs and work instructions

What We're Looking For

  • Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent) in life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, or related field
  • Strong background in immunology and/or dermatology with understanding of relevant disease pathology and terminology
  • Experience in clinical trial medical monitoring, medical data review, or related clinical research activities
  • Familiarity with ICH-GCP guidelines, clinical trial regulations, and drug development processes
  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to identify data patterns, trends, and potential safety signals
  • Strong project management capabilities with demonstrated ability to manage timelines and deliverables
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in medical writing and query authoring
  • Detail-oriented approach with commitment to data integrity and subject safety
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong team collaboration
