People Programs, Strategy, & Operations Director

About This Opportunity

We are representing a well-funded fintech organization in their search for a People Programs, Strategy, & Operations Director. This is a remote role based in the United States with occasional travel required.

Our client is seeking a strategic operator who will serve as the backbone of their People function, driving operational excellence and transformation at scale. You'll own the systems, programs, and infrastructure that enable the People team to deliver impact across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design and own the operating model for the People function, including cross-functional cadences, reporting dashboards, and core systems
• Lead end-to-end planning and execution of compensation cycles, performance reviews, and engagement survey activation
• Drive high-priority transformation initiatives on behalf of People leadership, including organizational design and process redesign
• Provide centralized project management, intake coordination, and operational support across People sub-teams
• Identify and implement opportunities to modernize workflows through AI tools, automation, and systems improvements
• Act as the primary operational liaison between the People team and cross-functional partners including executive leadership, Finance, Legal, and IT
• Build and maintain knowledge infrastructure including playbooks, SOPs, and program documentation that scales with the organization

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of experience in HR, People Operations, or related strategic operations roles
• Proven track record building infrastructure and programs that scale within growing organizations
• Systems thinking combined with strong execution skills—ability to see the big picture while driving work forward
• Comfort owning ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives with senior stakeholders
• Experience using data and analytics to support business decisions aligned with organizational values and objectives
• Strong change management capabilities
• Passion for creating healthy, inclusive organizations where culture serves as a competitive advantage
• Energized by transformation and building what doesn't yet exist
