Oracle Database Administrator

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential federal technology contractor seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator for a remote position in the United States. This role supports mission-critical systems with a focus on database maintenance, performance optimization, and cloud migration initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize Reporting Instance (RI) Database environments
• Develop complex queries, subqueries, joins, and advanced PL/SQL solutions including packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and custom type definitions
• Create and modify Unix scripts to support database operations
• Participate in Oracle Cloud migration projects and resolve technical issues
• Collaborate with software development teams to coordinate database changes
• Manage RI-related dependencies and daily refresh processes
• Prevent database bottlenecks and ensure rapid response times for enterprise applications

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering
• 10+ years of relevant database administration experience
• Proven experience developing and maintaining applications using Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, and Oracle database objects
• Strong Unix/Linux experience
• Active CompTIA Security+ certification
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain public trust clearance suitability

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of Air Force Human Resource processes
• Knowledge of EBS HCM functionality
• Advanced Oracle and Unix programming skills

Pay

This is a remote, full-time position. Physical requirements include remaining stationary approximately 50% of the time with occasional movement to access office resources and communicate with team members via email, phone, and virtual platforms.
