Senior UX / Digital Product Designer (Mensch)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential digital product consultancy based in Berlin. Our client works with organizations across finance, mobility, and manufacturing sectors to develop user-centered digital products, services, and platforms. They guide projects from initial problem definition through market launch with a strong emphasis on strategic thinking and design excellence.

In this senior-level role, you will take full ownership of digital product development processes from discovery through delivery. You will structure ambiguous problem spaces, develop sound UX concepts for complex digital products, and set quality standards across the entire design spectrum.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Leading the complete UX and product design process from discovery to delivery
• Structuring unclear problem statements through problem framing, scoping, and hypothesis development
• Developing robust UX concepts for complex digital products
• Creating information architectures, user journeys, and end-to-end flows
• Translating requirements into testable UX specifications
• Planning and conducting qualitative research formats including interviews, usability tests, and workshops
• Synthesizing insights and deriving evidence-based recommendations
• Designing visually sophisticated UI designs and design systems
• Moderating workshops for project initialization, goal definition, and prioritization
• Advocating for UX and design decisions with stakeholders
• Collaborating closely with development teams during implementation
• Independently structuring complex project phases

What We're Looking For

Experience & competencies:

• 5+ years of experience in UX/Product Design
• Multi-year agency experience managing parallel projects and changing clients
• Deep expertise in strategic UX conception
• Demonstrated end-to-end experience in digital product development
• Strong foundation in user research and qualitative/quantitative analysis
• Ability to derive and validate data-driven hypotheses
• Very high standards for visual quality including layout, typography, and design systems
• Strategic understanding of digital strategy and service design
• Confident moderation skills in German (minimum B2, ideally C1)
• Expert proficiency with Figma

• Basic understanding of technical architecture (APIs, frontend structures)
• Experience building or scaling design systems
• Experience working with AI tools and AI-supported processes
• International project experience
