Senior UX / Digital Product Designer (Mensch), Schwerpunkt FinTech

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential digital product consultancy working with clients across finance, fintech, mobility, and industrial sectors. This Senior UX / Digital Product Designer role requires you to lead digital product development with conceptual clarity, methodological confidence, and design excellence.

You will own the entire product design process from discovery through delivery, bringing structure to complex and initially unclear problem statements. Your responsibilities include:

• Leading end-to-end UX and product design processes from discovery to delivery
• Structuring ambiguous problem spaces through problem framing, scoping, and hypothesis development
• Contributing your professional perspective and consultative approach in client collaboration
• Developing robust UX concepts for complex digital products
• Creating information architectures, user journeys, and end-to-end flows
• Translating requirements into testable UX specifications
• Planning and conducting qualitative research (interviews, usability tests, workshops)
• Synthesizing insights and deriving actionable recommendations
• Designing and developing visually sophisticated UI designs and design systems
• Facilitating workshops for project initialization, goal definition, and prioritization
• Defending UX and design decisions with stakeholders
• Collaborating closely with development teams during implementation
• Independently structuring complex project phases

What We're Looking For

Experience & Competencies:

• 5+ years of experience in UX / Product Design
• Multi-year agency experience managing parallel projects and rotating clients
• Deep expertise in strategic UX conception
• Demonstrable end-to-end experience in digital product development
• Strong expertise in user research and quantitative/qualitative analysis
• Ability to derive and validate data-driven hypotheses
• Very high standards for visual quality (layout, typography, design systems)
• Strategic understanding of digital strategy and service design
• Confident facilitation skills in German (minimum B2, ideally C1)
• Proficiency with Figma

• Basic understanding of technical architecture (APIs, frontend structures)
• Experience building or scaling design systems
• Experience working with AI tools and AI-supported workflows
• International project experience
