Senior Technical Architect

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential digital consulting organization seeking a Senior Technical Architect to lead complex cloud architecture engagements. In this senior technical authority role, you will:

• Own the design and quality of robust, scalable enterprise applications on AWS, with particular focus on serverless patterns and agentic AI platform components including orchestration, memory, tool integration, identity, guardrails, and observability
• Establish technical governance, design standards, and manage risk, non-functional requirements, and technical debt across client accounts
• Design AWS-based agentic AI platforms utilizing orchestration, RAG, memory, guardrails, and MCP, establishing reusable patterns for emerging Agentic Commerce standards
• Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts and facilitating technical discovery workshops
• Provide hands-on technical ownership by proving solutions through rigorous code reviews and designing robust API/integration patterns
• Champion a quality-first engineering mindset using Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD pipelines, and automation
• Proactively identify, shape, and pitch technical solutions to drive account growth opportunities
• Mentor engineers and architects, sharing knowledge on emerging technologies and raising the technical bar across engagements

What We're Looking For

Our client requires a Senior or Principal-level architect with demonstrable experience in digital agencies or consultancies. You must bring:

• Leadership and consulting expertise: Proven ability leading development teams, guiding clients through workshops, and identifying business growth opportunities
• Deep AWS and serverless mastery: Hands-on expertise designing, documenting, and delivering resilient, high-availability enterprise applications on AWS including serverless patterns and integration components
• Agentic AI platform knowledge: Strong understanding of building agentic AI platforms on AWS (Bedrock, orchestrations, RAG, gateways/MCP) and awareness of emerging Agentic Commerce concepts and standards (ACP, AP2, A2A)
• Software engineering foundation: Strong development background, ideally in TypeScript/JavaScript, coupled with robust API design, documentation, and versioning experience
• DevOps and automation: Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/CDK/CloudFormation), CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks
• Communication skills: Proactive, energetic collaboration style with excellent written, verbal, and diagrammatic skills capable of translating technical complexity for senior stakeholders

Preferred qualifications:

• AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification (or Associate minimum)
• AWS Specialty certifications (Security, Data/ML)
• Familiarity with C4 model, diagrams-as-code, headless architectures, and practical enterprise LLM applications
