Role Overview
As Senior Supply Chain Analyst for Pharmacy Procurement Operations at Northwestern Memorial Healthcare, you'll manage critical procurement activities that keep our pharmacies stocked with essential medications and supplies. You'll analyze vendor performance, optimize purchasing strategies, and work directly with pharmacy leadership to reduce costs while maintaining supply reliability and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute pharmacy procurement strategies aligned with organizational cost and service goals
- Analyze pharmaceutical supply chain data to identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements
- Evaluate vendor performance, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships with pharmaceutical suppliers
- Monitor inventory levels, usage patterns, and expiration cycles to minimize waste and stockouts
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies

- Collaborate with pharmacy directors, clinical teams, and finance to implement procurement initiatives
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field
- 3+ years of healthcare supply chain or pharmacy procurement experience
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in data analysis and reporting
- Knowledge of pharmacy operations, pharmaceutical products, and healthcare procurement practices
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams
- Experience with supply chain management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance requirements and regulatory standards
