NineStar Connect – MSP Technician

Wabash Valley Power Alliance is hiring a full-time NineStar Connect MSP Technician for a remote position serving clients and operations across the Greenfield, IN region. Role Overview

As an MSP (Managed Service Provider) Technician at NineStar Connect, you'll be the technical backbone supporting our clients' infrastructure and day-to-day operations. Working remotely from your base in or near Greenfield, Indiana, you'll diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technology issues across multiple client environments, helping to ensure uptime, security, and optimal performance. This full-time position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, remote work setting while delivering direct technical support to real-world business challenges.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain client systems, servers, and network infrastructure to ensure continuous availability
• Respond to client support requests and troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues
• Install, configure, and update operating systems, applications, and security tools across managed environments
• Perform preventive maintenance and system health checks to identify and resolve issues proactively
• Document technical issues, resolutions, and client interactions for knowledge base and reporting purposes
• Collaborate with team members to escalate complex issues and share technical expertise
• Support client onboarding and training on managed systems and tools

What We're Looking For

• Hands-on experience with IT support, systems administration, or managed services environments
• Knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems, networking fundamentals, and common business applications
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues methodically and communicate solutions clearly to clients
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities remotely
• Customer service mindset with the ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms
• Relevant IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or equivalent) preferred
• Reliable internet connection and professional workspace for remote work
