Staff Mixed-Signal Verification Engineer

Renesas Electronics is hiring a Staff Mixed-Signal Verification Engineer for its design center in Chandler, Arizona. This full-time position offers the opportunity to lead advanced verification efforts on cutting-edge semiconductor products that power industries worldwide.

Position Summary

As a Staff Mixed-Signal Verification Engineer at Renesas Electronics in Chandler, you will take ownership of verification strategy and execution for complex mixed-signal integrated circuits. You'll work across analog and digital domains to validate that silicon meets performance and functional specifications, driving product quality and time-to-market for a global electronics leader.

Your Responsibilities

• Architect and implement comprehensive verification plans for mixed-signal designs spanning analog, digital, and interface blocks
• Develop advanced testbenches and simulation environments using industry-standard EDA tools and verification languages
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with design, layout, and characterization teams to identify and resolve verification gaps
• Drive methodologies for functional and behavioral verification, including simulation, formal analysis, and silicon validation
• Mentor and guide junior verification engineers on best practices and technical problem-solving
• Contribute to the definition and improvement of verification processes and flows across the organization

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in semiconductor verification, with strong focus on mixed-signal or analog circuit validation
• Demonstrated expertise in verification languages such as SystemVerilog, VHDL, or equivalent
• Solid understanding of analog circuits, mixed-signal design principles, and system-level integration
• Proficiency with industry EDA tools and simulation environments
• Strong communication and mentoring skills, with the ability to influence design decisions
• Experience with formal verification, assertion-based verification, or silicon debug is a plus
