Senior Payroll Analyst

About the Role

This is a full-time Senior Payroll Analyst position based at our Swindon facility. You'll take ownership of our payroll function, managing end-to-end payroll processes whilst maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and regulatory compliance. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional ready to grow with one of the world's leading semiconductor companies.

Core Duties

• Process monthly and ad-hoc payroll for the Swindon workforce, ensuring timely and accurate payment of salaries
• Maintain comprehensive payroll records and reconcile payroll data against HR systems and accounts
• Manage tax compliance, including PAYE administration and year-end reporting to HMRC
• Review and process employee deductions, benefits, and pension contributions
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee enquiries
• Ensure adherence to employment law and payroll regulations across all processes
• Support annual payroll audits and provide payroll documentation to stakeholders
• Liaise with external payroll providers and advisors as required

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in a senior payroll role or equivalent responsibility
• Thorough knowledge of UK payroll processes and employment tax legislation
• Proficiency with payroll software and HR management systems
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
• Professional qualification in payroll (such as AAT, IRRV, or equivalent) is advantageous
