The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Senior Sous Chef to take a central role in our Wokingham kitchen. You'll have the chance to shape culinary standards, develop junior staff, and contribute to exceptional dining experiences across our operation. Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Oversee kitchen operations and maintain rigorous hygiene and food safety standards
• Prepare and cook dishes to exacting culinary standards and specifications
• Manage food costs, stock rotation and efficient ordering practices
• Train, supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff on technique and discipline
• Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu development and seasonal specials
• Ensure consistent quality, plating and presentation across all dishes
• Support service during peak times and special events

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent senior kitchen position
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene principles and HACCP procedures
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop a kitchen team
• Excellent knife skills and advanced culinary technique
• Experience managing food costs, inventory and stock control
• Flexibility with shift patterns including weekends and evenings
• Relevant culinary qualifications or substantial equivalent hands-on experience
