About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential open-source technology organization seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep Python and MongoDB expertise. This is a remote opportunity available across the EMEA region.

Our client is building enterprise-grade database management solutions that enable organizations to deploy and operate MongoDB clusters on any infrastructure—from bare metal to public cloud and Kubernetes. You'll be joining a small, high-impact team where your contributions will directly shape the product and influence the broader ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Python-based automation for MongoDB deployment and operations
• Build reliable, secure infrastructure management solutions for multi-cloud and on-premise environments
• Implement robust monitoring, scaling, and recovery mechanisms for database clusters
• Collaborate with the team to define product architecture and technical direction
• Create comprehensive test coverage and maintain high code quality standards
• Support customers with complex deployment scenarios and operational challenges

What We're Looking For

• Senior-level Python programming experience with a track record in mission-critical systems
• Hands-on experience operating and managing MongoDB clusters in production
• Background in infrastructure automation, systems administration, or DevOps
• Strong understanding of Linux systems, package management, and operations
• Commitment to quality through automated testing and CI/CD practices
• Excellent communication skills for a fully remote, distributed team environment
• Passion for open-source technology and collaborative development
