Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential streaming technology organization seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack for their Cambridge location. In this role, you will design and build full stack web applications supporting end-to-end automation and test infrastructure for embedded software teams.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing and building full stack web applications to support automation and test infrastructure
- Integrating AI capabilities including LLM-driven experiences in existing and new toolsets
- Developing APIs and microservices to support test and quality workflows
- Deploying, scaling, and monitoring services in cloud environments using Kubernetes
- Building robust, highly available backend and frontend systems for software quality and automation use cases
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and deliver external partner-facing and internal tooling
- Architecting and owning technical solutions and designs, evaluating design alternatives and trade-offs
- Creating and maintaining requirement and technical documentation
- Troubleshooting production issues and improving performance and reliability
- Participating in code reviews and contributing to engineering best practices
- Mentoring less experienced engineers through technical guidance and architectural reviews
What We're Looking For
Our client is seeking a candidate with 7+ years of proven full stack engineering experience with production web applications and backend services. The ideal candidate will have strong technical judgment and the ability to move from concept through delivery in a fast-paced environment.
Required qualifications:
- Strong skills and programming experience in Python
- Experience developing web applications using FastAPI, Flask, or Django
- Experience with frontend development in TypeScript/JavaScript, Next.js, React, and MUI frameworks
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Redis, and REST API design and integration
- Experience with test-driven development, CI/CD workflows, and continuous integration tools (Jenkins, GitLab)
- Experience integrating AI technologies such as Skills, Agents, MCP Servers, or RAG pipelines
- Understanding of authentication and authorization approaches including OpenID and SAML
- Experience deploying cloud-native services on AWS with containerized infrastructure and Kubernetes
- Experience with message queuing systems such as RabbitMQ or Apache Kafka
- Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills
- Self-directed professional able to work independently and adapt to change
- Comfortable working with cross-functional peers across European and US timezones
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Preferred experience:
We are particularly interested in candidates who have built fluency across the agentic engineering toolchain — coding harnesses, custom skills, or agentic frameworks — and can describe projects where they shipped real customer-facing work with these tools. Our client values the ability to drive AI agents, validate their output, and ramp on unfamiliar codebases with agent assistance.
