About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential identity security organization seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a UK-based remote role. You will design, build, and deploy robust full-stack microservices for a mission-critical policy engine that delivers real-time and batch decision evaluations at enterprise scale. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies including Golang and Angular while embracing modern AI-assisted development workflows.

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy full-stack microservices for a high-performance policy engine serving global enterprise clients
- Rapidly prototype solutions and collaborate with cross-functional partners to refine product requirements
- Develop performant, maintainable software using Golang for backend services and Angular for frontend interfaces
- Create comprehensive unit and integration test suites to validate service resilience and integration points
- Participate in 24x7 engineering on-call support rotation (approximately 1 week in 20)
- Lead design reviews and mentor team members on architectural best practices
- Drive technical roadmaps and architectural evolution for key microservices within the platform team
- Apply AI-assisted and agentic development workflows to accelerate delivery of high-impact security capabilities
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of professional software development experience building production-grade distributed systems
- Strong proficiency in backend microservices development, preferably with Golang
- Proven experience in modern frontend development, preferably with Angular
- Practical experience or strong familiarity with AI-assisted/agentic software development tools and workflows
- Solid background in testing and debugging complex systems, including unit, integration, and performance profiling
- Experience designing and operating microservices in SaaS/cloud environments (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins, Git, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with an articulate, approachable approach to teamwork
