(Senior) Social Media & Video Editor (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential digital agency based in Köln. They're seeking a Senior Social Media & Video Editor to take ownership of client social content from strategy through production. This is a role where you'll build formats, develop editorial concepts, and create content that truly connects with audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop social media formats and editorial concepts aligned with brand strategy, target audiences, and platform requirements, including scheduling and posting
• Advise clients on strategic development of their social accounts and contribute your own ideas and recommendations
• Lead community management and publishing for selected accounts while continuously refining editorial guidelines and content standards
• Prepare editorial shoots, take on-site editorial responsibility, conduct interviews, and identify which stories and scenes will work for social platforms
• Handle editorial cutting in Adobe Premiere, transform raw material into platform-appropriate social assets, and coordinate internal and external editors in post-production
• Write captions, hooks, and social copy for organic content as well as copy and headlines for campaigns and other communication formats

What We're Looking For

• Several years of professional experience in social media, editorial, content, or video—ideally on the agency or production side
• Strategic and editorial thinking combined with hands-on ability to jump into tools and execute content
• Excellent instinct for social trends, platform logic, and relevant formats
• Very good skills in Adobe Premiere; experience with additional Adobe programs is a plus
• Experience in editorial shoot preparation and on-set accompaniment
• Strong sense for language, storytelling, and different brand tonalities
• Consulting competence: ability to confidently advise clients and support your recommendations with solid arguments
• Structured, independent, and reliable work style with ability to manage multiple clients and productions simultaneously
• Very good German and English language skills
