(Senior) Social Media & Video Editor (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential digital agency in Berlin seeking a Senior Social Media & Video Editor to lead content strategy and production for their clients.

In this role, you will:

• Develop social media formats and editorial concepts aligned with brand strategy, target audiences, and platform algorithms, managing the editorial calendar and posting schedule
• Advise clients on strategic development of their social accounts, bringing your own ideas and recommendations to the table
• Take ownership of community management and publishing for selected accounts, continuously refining editorial guidelines and content frameworks
• Prepare editorial shoots, take on-set editorial responsibility, conduct interviews, and identify which stories, scenes, and assets will perform on social platforms
• Execute editorial cuts in Adobe Premiere, transform raw footage into platform-optimized social assets, and coordinate external and internal editors during post-production
• Write captions, hooks, and social copy for organic content, as well as headlines and text for campaigns and other communication formats

What We're Looking For

• Several years of professional experience in social media, editorial, content, or video—ideally within an agency or production environment
• Strategic and editorial thinking combined with hands-on execution skills
• Strong intuition for social trends, platform mechanics, and relevant content formats
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere; knowledge of additional Adobe programs is a plus
• Experience in editorial shoot preparation and on-set production support
• Excellent feel for language, storytelling, and varying brand tonalities
• Consulting competence: ability to confidently advise clients and clearly articulate your recommendations
• Structured, independent, and reliable working style with the ability to manage multiple clients and productions simultaneously
• Fluent German and English language skills
