Data Analyst:in Fundraising (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential nonprofit organization based in Berlin that is seeking a Data Analyst for Fundraising (m/w/d). This is a full-time permanent position offering 35 hours per week with significant remote work flexibility. Our client works to create meaningful social impact through data-driven fundraising and supporter engagement strategies.

As Data Analyst for Fundraising, you will join a six-person Fundraising & Engagement team. You will be responsible for developing scalable performance monitoring systems, optimizing fundraising campaigns, and ensuring data quality and integrity across all initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Segment and prepare data for fundraising and engagement campaigns
• Develop, maintain, and document SQL queries and recurring evaluation logic
• Analyze fundraising, engagement, and mobilization initiatives against agreed KPIs
• Create monthly reports and dashboards featuring key performance metrics
• Design, execute, and evaluate A/B and multivariate tests, extracting actionable learnings
• Analyze supporter journeys, target audiences, and segments to inform optimization strategies
• Produce ad-hoc analyses and recommendations for strategic decision-making
• Ensure data quality and integrity across all fundraising systems

What We're Looking For

• Degree or training in fundraising, business administration, controlling, IT, statistics, data science, or equivalent demonstrated qualifications
• Minimum 3 years of experience in digital fundraising within a nonprofit organization
• Strong command of qualitative and quantitative data analysis tools, including tracking and analytics platforms
• Proficiency with SQL databases and CRM systems
• Proven experience conducting A/B and multivariate testing
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana, monday.com, Jira, or similar applications
• Structured, independent working style with strong problem-solving abilities
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt flexibly to unexpected challenges
• Collaborative mindset for distributed team environments
• Experience using AI tools thoughtfully in daily workflows
• Based in or near Berlin; hybrid work model with flexible, family-friendly hours
